    Error message installing PHPmyadmin

    Hello all,

I'm reading a book about creating websites and in this book MS IIS, php, mysql and phpmyadmin are used.

I had come to the step to install phpmyadmin but I get an error message. I googled the error message and found lots of threads about it, but still it's not really clear what I can do to make it run right.

(I have) the log of IIS server:

Could someone tell me what is best to do?

    Thank you!

    Richard

Try asking in a forum for IIS. These forums are for Powweb customers and Powweb doesn't use IIS.

You're more likely to get a positive response elsewhere.

...OR move it over to the open forum.... let the question come through.. and those of us here who are well versed in IIS could answer.

I think that the OP won't return - we;ve been having a lot of one shot wonders lately. The post was already approved when you posted.... or you wouldn't have seen it

The OP can forward the very long log as a PM if you wish.

I've actually got a tutorial on installing php/mysql on iis, including phpmyadmin. Without knowing what error he's receiving it's a bit difficult to say what the problem is. Here's the section on installing phpmyadmin.

    http://clankiller.com/technical/prog...PHP/php1_7.php

It assumes php and mysql are installed and that php is functional in IIS. If this isn't a certainty, I'd recommend reading the whole tutorial. Also, send me money in the mail. That helps.
