I have a question about phpBB's ability to upload attachments (images) to posts.
Can that be done on the PowWeb platform? I have a couple of sites here that I run, but another site that has the phpBB board on it is hosted elsewhere and they have recently (November) taken away that ability with their new "platform". I am thinking of moving that site to PowWeb as well if they do not change their policy.

I had that site at the other host because I wanted to play with .asp pages but the main portion of the site is the message board and this new policy change they have has really put a crimp in things! The term is up March 1st so if anyone can shed light on this I would appreciate it.

    Thanks

    Please don't hijack other threads.

You should be able to do what you wish within the TOS here at Powweb. The limit you're likely to hit is timing out for large files. Images that take 60+secs to upload will fail.

We, as other customers, have no insight into what Powweb are planning but it is unlikely they're going to restrict uploads within a particular application directly.

Sorry Ian, didn't mean to highjack it. The user had a question about phpBB and I just thought it fell in line. Again, sorry.

Thanks for the info. I didn't know about the policies here at Powweb because the current host has the same billing address as Powweb so I thought they may have the same rules/policies.

If they're part of the same 'family' of companies, moving will be easy. You remove the domain from the 'other host' s control panel, add it in OPs. Change the nameservers and you're done. There should be no downtime as the two sets of nameservers are aliases for the same boxes.

The system will not let you have the domains on both systems at once.
