An Unwanted Crane in Sydney !!

Anyone got a bit of spare time ??
And feel like adjusting a photo for me ??

My son and his lady went for a trip to Sydney and while standing on the hotel balcony, he snapped a series of eleven photos which I was able to turn into a panorama ... with lots of help from Microsofts Image Composite Editor !!

If you go to THIS page on our site, you can see the shots and read the story

Then, at the bottom of that page, there is a link to a "super-sized" version of the panorama

This is the one I am writing about

Brett wants to have a poster or larger size print done for Kahlia, the young lady in the shot
    BUT
he really doesn't want that huge CRANE in the middle of the final print

I have given it a try, but in a word the results were ... awful !!

Time would be involved and time is money ... so I am happy to pay for this to be done (maybe via PayPal)

Really appreciate any help that can be given

    Regards ...... Geoff

PS - should 'Carol C' read this post, I have sent you an email about the photo

Take a look here, http://ronebergcairns.somdcomputerguy.com, I edited the three photos that had the boom crane. I only spent a few minutes on them, and it shows, they're not that good, but if you want them, take 'em.

    Appreciate that

Hi ...... and thanks for doing that

Retrieved the three shots and they look fine to me ( you should-a seen mine !! )

    Am having a hassle though
The original shots that were used in the Composite Editor were straight from the camera
These are all 4000 x 3000 pixels in size and I cannot get these smaller ones to "stitch" properly

I presume the panorama has to be kept "big" so it will print out in poster or larger sizes

I'm no image expert ... just gunna keep trying

Appreciate your time ... have a nice day in Solomons Island

Oops. I wasn't really paying attention too much when I saved them. I'll redo them and make sure to save them in the original size. The program I used is Photofiltre, although GIMP would work fine too.

Edit: let me ask you this, are the images (the individual ones) on that page the actual files used to create the panorama? The images I downloaded from that page are 480x360.

No, they are smaller ones I used just to show what the final panorama was "made of"

The original eleven photos are all 4000 x 3000 and each is about 2.5Mb in size

The largest shots on our Web Site are in the 'super-sized' panoramic version I mentioned in my first post

    That enough info ??

Look at my page again. I downloaded the large panorama pic from your page. BTW, I have no intention of asking for any payment, and I don't live in Solomons, Md., or the island, anymore, but my heart will always be there, so I've left it in my profile..

Great, glad you're happy with it. It's the 'smudge tool' I used..
