    Question Trying to learn?

Hello, I am a first time user and am weak in all departments of computer usage. I am trying to download some pictures from my digital camera. I have "'the memory card" plugged into a usb port, but no response. I recently installed Windows 7 from XP and regret it sorely. Nothing works easily, and mostly nothing works at all. I am 68 and a slow learner, so I am asking for help.Thanks. John Billera.
