    Joomla 3.0 Manual Install

I am new to this but I am trying to manually install Joomla 3.0 and could use some help. I have setup a sub-domain and loaded Joomla via ftp. From this point I have idea of what to do but still not sure. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

You need to make sure your database is already set-up. When you create it, make not of name/path because it won't be "local" or whatever the default is in the set-up. If you uploaded the ZIP file you will need to use the Archive Gateway tool to unzip it.

When you start the install it will check your php.ini settings, if it finds something wrong it will tell you what needs to be changed and you will have to tweak the php.ini. Personally, I would go in and select the most recent version of the php.ini, you might even need to have it for Joomla 3.0 anyway.

I am sure there is more, but I have only done the 3.0 install once and I was in a hurry so I was just doing things and correcting them on the fly.
