    Site Restore problems

My site was hacked, so I am using my original backup Wordpress files stored on PowWeb (including sql).

I used the "Site Backup and Restore" tool to restore the site files and MySQL/phpMyAdmin
to drop/add the database and import the records.

When I look at my site on a browser it seems like the database (php scripts) and html files are not properly connected (although I don't get an error message).

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks.

Did PowWeb know you got hacked? If they are aware of a hack, one of the first things they do is shut of scripting. You need to prove to them that you cleaned up the files before they will re-activate it. Normally, however, they do put up a "this site is down" message.

Double check your paths in your config files. Depending on how old your back-ups are, PowWeb has updated the paths to your root directory. I know when they did it a while back it broke some of my scripts.

    More information

Yes I did contact Powweb to say it was hacked. I also told Google after I restored from my back up, and they verified it is now clean.

What is my next step with Powweb to let they know the site is now clean?

    Thanks

If you told them via the support ticket system, let them know by the same method. If not, use the same method used originally to inform them and use the support ticket system.
