Need FRONTPAGE hosting with PHONE support

Guys, does anyone know of any hosting company that still offers frontpage hosting that also has phone support?

I asked somewhere else and was directed to a company in UK that still hosts frontpage but no phone support and I suck at following written directions.

Also, has anyone moved a complete site from one hosting company to another that would be willing to help me (if I can't find a hosting company). Ie, if I decide to move it to the uk company.

I have a site I need to move OR redo and it's pretty big and I really, REALLY don't want to redo it in wordpress or something. Too many damn pages and too many pics to reupload.

I like frontpage and I know it well enough that it's easy for me to update it.

I currently have this site hosted with [mod edit: another web host] but the strange thing is that I cannot download a file and reupload it after I've made changes. It's like it does NOT see the file.

I see ONE version when I go online but when I download this same page, it looks different to me...?

    Thanks for any help.

    George

Hello George, Welcome to Powweb's Forum. There are a few people here that still use Frontpage, so you might get a helpful response to your question. You'll notice that I did edit your post. Please don't mention any other web host company names on this web host's forum. Please do not enter your homepage URL in your user profile, unless of course you become a customer and Powweb hosts your website.. Thanks, good luck!

Well, I'm not one of 'the guys', I'm just a volunteer moderator on this Forum. I don't use Frontpage, but I know there is a few people here that do. So I guess it is supported here, but I can't say for how much longer. Now I'm not saying or trying to imply that next week or month it might not be supported, but that program is discontinued and not supported by Microsoft any longer.

Yeah, I know and I'm sure people prolly stopped using it because of their crummy code and all that which is a shame 'cause it was super simple to use.

I learned it after only watching a buddy use it for a few minutes. THAT is a simple program.

    Too bad they nixed it

    Thanks again

Powweb currently still offers FrontPage support via as a hosting company (but no timescale on how long this will continue).

It also offers a US based Phone support number, but this is for problems related to the hosting not specifically to do with FrontPage. Phone: 866-476-9932 The did offer a Freephone TollFree number (I'm based in the UK so I'm not sure about the US numbers used now, they used to be 800-xxx-xxxx numbers) but don't advertise it as such now.

Give customer services a ring to see if they offer the level of support that you will need.

(I'm also a volunteer and I used to teach children to use FrontPage - but that was a long time ago!)

Hey, I POSTED a reply but I dont' see it so I'll post again (sorry).

I got hold of them on the second attempt and a bit of hold time. The guy that answered was very nice.

I'm going to give them a try with one of my domain names that I'm not using to see how things work BEFORE I commit to moving a whole site
as I have huge sites with many thousands of files.

    Thanks for the help

    George
