I have some URLs that Google has spidered with https, even though I have no SSL certificate. So, I tried adding rules to my .htaccess file to redirect anything with https to http.

However, all the popular means of doing this that I can find do not work.

I've tried:
https://forums.powweb.com/showthread...ght=https+http

I've tried:
Code:
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTP:X-Forwarded-Proto} =https
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} [L,R=301]
I've tried:
Code:
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{SERVER_PORT} 443
RewriteRule ^/?$ http://%{SERVER_NAME}/ [R=301,L]
I've tried:
Code:
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTPS} on
RewriteRule (.*) http://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} [R=301,L]
None of these works.

I'm not clear why Powweb servers don't automatically redirect anyway when SSL is not installed.

Any suggestions?
