Unhappy no php version option

So, this observation was already done in other post, but i don't see any serious answer.

I dont have the typical 'php4 and php5' options from the dropdown at http://ops.powweb.com/member/cgiManagement/PHPplus.bml . the dropdown just says 'php' twice, no 4 or 5 option

some facts:

CGI is enabled (or at least is listed as enabled in OPS), and has been; account is one year old and until a few week, my site works perfectly. But when i come back after holidays, all was done : cgi was disabled and i have to enable again. Until now, php5 was choosed with a line inside htaccess. Now, it doesn't work any more.

AHA - after all that, i decided to run a php file phpinfo.php to make sure CGI was working; and yes, it is as OPS says it is active. But it shows that php4 version of php is active. With the same phpinfo with php5 extension, i obtain well php5. But i need php5 version by default and i cannot have neither by OTS neither by htaccess

AHA2 (edit) - I'm not alone;
http://forum.powweb.com/showthread.php?t=75573
https://forum.powweb.com/showthread.php?t=75853
is at least two other persons. sounds like there's a bug in OPS.

Hopefully a powweb staff reads this;

Thanks for solution,

Pierre

Sometimes OPS fails to work for some reason, but only for some accounts. You need to contact support as you're unable to select the version of PHP you're using by default - and you should be able to.

I am having this problem with a client's account. The php4/php5 select issue was resolved, but it caused previously-working scripts to not work .. 500 Internal Server errors.
The ticket history is below. I'll keep you posted.

(If a staff member has any suggestions or can decipher the cgi log errors, I'd greatly appreciate it.)
