I did the Powweb install of WP 2.7.1 and my blog site is running well. Should I upgrade to WP 2.8.5 via the WP dashboard? Has anyone done this? How did it go?
Thanks! |

Yes definately update it. The dashboard makes it very simple. It will report -- contacting wordpress site -- downloading updates -- installing new files -- restarting -- update sucessful -- kind of statements. If you are then prompted to update your database do that too.

You might consider having two WordPress installs. Use one just for testing. When an upgrade comes out, test it on your "test site" first. Make sure your theme and plugins still work before unleashing it on your production site.
