Did I just buy a hosting package or what?

Yesterday I signed up for a hosting package (or what I thought was a hosting package) from this site: http://members.powweb.com/powweb/hosting.bml
I chose the plan that is 3.88 per month for one year. I setup my domain name that is registered with namesecure.com to point to the DNS settings for Powweb. It's working great and all is well EXCEPT I noticed that when I try to view my web stats it gives me the message "Your hosting plan does not include CGI (you're probably on a domain parking plan). Please upgrade to a hosting membership to use AWStats."

First, I thought I was paying for a hosting package when I signed up. As you see on the link above it states "All Included!" including Webalizer & AwStats Web Statistics. Everything should be included.

I called Powweb today and he said that I am only paying for a basic package and that does not include hosting or webstats. How can this be??? First, if that is the case then the promotion on the front of Powweb is very misleading. Second, if I'm only parking my domain how is it that I can ftp files to mydomain.com and go to mydomain.com/whatever and it works???

Can someone please explain this to me?

Thanks

you may need to enable CGI on the account...what happens when you try to choose/change a stat program in OPS?

This is a user to user forum, and we will not be able to help here too much; persisting with support/customer service might get it resolved most quickly

I would persist with support - it has been known for a new package to not have CGI enabled by default when it should. Powweb sells one plan, which can now be added to or converted but doesn't advertise or sell directly a parking plan (that is offered when you move away from Powweb.)

Keep contacting support until you get satisfaction and don't pay for more until you've got everything working as it should.
