Dreamweaver 5.5 Settings

Hello Everyone.

I have been working on my website in Dreamweaver 5.5.

I used to hi-lite text and be able to change its font, color, size etc.
Now when I do that it pulls up a css sheet and asks for rules.

Does anyone know what setting I hit to make it do this and how do I change it back?

I don't use Dreamweaver, but maybe something here will help:

I may just not be used to 5.5. I have been using version 4.
5.5 seems to update the text with css styles.
