Via YourHostingAccount?
Hi Everyone,
One of email addresses is used with a third party company (MyFax) to send faxes. This is done through an Outlook plugin. A fax was rejected by another company because they could not authenticate the email address because "via yourhostingaccount" was tagged next to the email address in the from section (i.e. From: name@company.com via yourhostingaccount) Is there anyway this can be removed? I see this also when I send emails from my Powweb account emails to gmail. Gmail notes that this happens because the email is not authenticated. To remove this, they note: Gmail checks whether emails are correctly authenticated. If your messages are sent by a bulk mailing vendor or by third-party affiliates, please publish an SPF record2 that includes the IPs of the vendor or affiliates which send your messages and sign your messages with a DKIM3 signature that is associated with your domain. (http://support.google.com/mail/bin/a...answer=1311182) Can I authenticate Powweb emails? If not, is there any other way to resolve this issue? Thanks in advance. |

yourhostingaccount.com is the domain used by Powweb to send e-mails as well as for other companies owned by the same parent group. You could ask support to set up a SPF record for you. At one time we had that ability ourselves but it vanished without an indication why. (Probably at the time of the takeover many years ago.)
