*.zip win only?

hello, i have a question @ zipping files... i have a folder containing multiple files, but i need to send them to someone who uses a mac. are zipped files exclusive to win? if so, how do i "zip" something so that a mac user can open them?

thx in advance.

Should be able to just zip them in zip format. I beleive the newer versions of the MAC OS have a zip extraction tool built in like XP does.

I could be wrong...any "real" MAC users out there care to shed light on this?

I "think" that Macs can use Zip files, but I know that most all Macs are capable of handling Stuffit files.

There is a Windows/Mac compatable version that you can get a trial version of at http://www.stuffit.com/stuffit/win/

So if your friend can't use the Zip files, you can get Stuffit and send the files with it.
