Cool View Source

I have some sort of problem with IE 6

Sometimes (or most of the times) the View Source from the right click & from the View does not work at all. It seems that it happens more to pages which are online.

Should I reinstall or something?

Neville,

I've had this happen before but it was only on certain pages and, admittedly, after I'd loaded a bunch of 'junk' on my system.

I think I ended up just restoring my system to a previous point from a disk image I'd made (it was a while ago).

Have you tried the 'Repair' function?

Have you by any chance tried going to the VIEW menu and choosing SOURCE?

That should also let you view the source of the page.... and also let you view source for pages that use javascript to disable right clicking.

Cool

Nothing with View as well...I said that in my first post.

I thought of restore...went back 11/2 weeks and nothing...i am afraid of going too back with the restore...sometimes you install things which you don't remember.

What about the repair thing? Where is the IE repair?

Have you installed any of the Windows updates lately?

One of the earlier IE updates caused some strange things to happen for me (and others). After I went back and installed the IE6 Service Pack1 that came out recently, my strange IE problems went away.

I'm presuming it's the same as 5.5

Just go to Control Panel

Add/Remove programs

Internet Explorer

Hit the Remove button..........

It should give you 3 options:

Add a component

Repair Internet Explorer

Restore the previous windows configuration

Worth a try....
