Powerfull Image Editor (FREE)
There is an open source alternative for expensive graphics manipulation programs (e.g. photoshop, et al) that you can download and use for free.
It has impressive features and there are versions for all platforms. It's called Gimp and it's available here: http://shareware.lycos.com/tucows/preview/139481.shtml Be prepared to spend a little time downloading and setting up the program for use. Some knowledge of system settings will help in setting it up to work well with your system. This program rivals the best software available in many respects and is well worth the time it takes to install. |

Cool! I've been looking for a good, free image editing program. Gimp it is!
Thanks for the link. ![]() |

I've been using The Gimp for a couple years (on Linux), it's a great program. Not a bad alternative to Photoshop, and the price is right

I'm a Paint Shop Pro/PSP person but have dabbled with Photo Shop and other image editors/suites. At first glance GNU has much of either, though the environment maybe somewhat fragmented, but it looks worth while at this price.
Thanks Nick! |
