problem with a person hosted here
I was wondering if there was anything I could do about someone that was harrassing me on my own website. I own a tagboard and she was posting rude and obscene things in there, she finally stopped after I had to delete the page with my tagboard on it. Her website is listed below:
http://purplenails.com Which her site is hosted here. So I thought you might be able to help me. I do have some of the things she said, I had to delete over 100 posts of hers so fast so that my other vistors wouldn't see it and trying to get her to stop posting. I did not have time to capture all that was said. If you can please help me in anyway, that would be so helpful. Thank you so much, Sakura |

Hi Sakura!
I would contact admin@powweb.com about this. This is the Powweb Administration. They should get your problem resolved. Good Luck! |

Sakura,
If you have a friend named 'Jessica', it looks like she's flooding purplenail's board. Hopefully 'Jessica' doesn't have a site hosted here. At least for appearances, you might want to ask her to stop for a while while the admins dig into the issue. Robert |

That's odd because I don't have a friend name 'Jessica'. I know I had someone on my Tagboard post as a 'Jessica' saying she liked my site, but that was only once. So maybe she saw all the mess? I'm not really sure.

Are you just possibly trying to get her website closed down out of malice? Be sensible, contact her and smoke some wampum, or approach her ISP if you feel that someone posting rude and obscene things is a serious issue................. BHD

I know it's more ISP but i do not have her isp, this was the only thing i knew of hers, and No it's not out of malice, why contact someone who would only start saying the same things to me over and over?...i do not smoke anything...that's not something good to tell someone to do...it is a serious issue because i know younger kids come to my site and it's wrong for them to have a chance to see what she said....
but i guess this is a lost cause thanks anyways... |

If the vindictive person is on cable and has a perm. IP you could try blocking the IP addr just to annoy him/her.
This is always a problem with Tag boards and such. HalfaBee

I agree that it isn't Powweb's problem. Getting her site shut down would not help you any, because she would still have access to the web, therefore your site. Actually, if you were somehow able to get her site shut down, it would probably make matters worse...
If there are rude and threatening comments on *her* site about you, then that *might* be a Powweb problem. Maybe you could go to a membership based tag board (if there is such a thing) or even move towards a message board, where people have to get your permission to join and post? This way, you could always deny anyone you don't like from posting, and ban anyone who comments rudely? If your tagboard has IP tracking, then you could probably research to find out their ISP... |

Maybe 'Burying the hatchet' would have been a better choice of phrase, only don't bury it in her head................ ![]() BHD
