Where is the email alias file?

Where is the file that holds all my email aliases when I set up a new redirector/SMTP in ops?

I am trying to set up an autoresponder and I need tha file for it.

Thanks

Bryan

Wink No Autoresponders / .forward file

Why wouldn't you allow autoresponder software? Seems like many businesses have a need for it... *I* sure do! Makes me think that PowWeb is "The less than perfect hosting solution

What can we do to allow this functionality to come on board? We can't be the only 2 who need to be able to redirect stuff with .forward or .procmailrc?

Thanks!

Thumbs down Well...

I for one can't stand autoresponders.

I'm on several mailing lists that just get bombbarded by autoresponders from boneheads who submit their autoresponder-enabled email as the list address.

My opinion is that if you want it that bad (remember your only paying $7.77/month), set up your own email server, modify your MX record and deal with it that way. That way when you don't have an email feature you can only blame yourself.

Unhappy Auto responders

I believe your replies are a little over-hostile?

What is wrong with legitimate double opt-in mailings? Many website owners are looking to offer marketing newsletters to willing recipients. I understand your (and my!) aversion to SPAM, but autoresponders have their place in the cyber world when operated ethically. For one, I would not risk being banned from such a great value host for "the dark side of the force", and I don't think you should prejudicially judge bmath121.

I understand if you disagree for whatever reason, and I respect y'all's position, but I had to say something.
