heres a good place to checkout if you are intrested in accepting credit card online.... http://www.2checkout.com/cgi-bin/aff.2c?affid=31031
If you can try to sign up under my affilate # 31031 so I can get the refferer money( i need it badly). its only a one time $49 setup fee and a 5.5% transation fee for each total sale... no monthly fees at all, so that means if you sell nothing you pay nothing.... good luck in your search by the way paypal is good as well check them out also Last edited by facedown : 4-10-03 at 02:05 PM. |

PowWeb doesn't have explicit "support" for any particular merchant account. Typically, the interactions with the account provider are through standard web protocols that don't require host support, other than perhaps things such as SSL and CGI, which PowWeb does support.

Have you tried PayPal? That is the easiest, cheapest most effective method I've discovered to date.

you can also try echo-inc.com. They have resonable prices, and are a real merchant account. I should have them soon.
As for a commerce page, try oscommerce. A lot of people here are using it, and it's great. |

Hi there,
When you say a lot of people "here" are using oscommerce, where is that? Do you get this feature from Powweb or. . .? I'd like to take a look at it. Why I like PayPal, is that they process every type of credit card, cash, or echeck for a very small percentage of the transfer. In my last business I had everything imaginable to set up a merchant account including: a bank (monthly fee, whether there was a transaction or not), a business called "authorize.net" for. . .still not sure, after two years, and a place that I paid $30 a month for a "user password." This is all true." I was new to web business, and got soaked big time. But, it seems as though PayPal is just what I need for my small business, and what's more, I see some medium-sized businesses using them as well. Hey, thanks for getting back to me, I like this forum and appreciate the intelligent answers from skilled participants. Nancy |
