MX records

Guys, I am currently hosted by powweb for my website, but I host my mail through a diferent company. Poweeb turned off my account at some point due to bandwith. on starting it up, the MX records were screwed and they cannot help or claim they are not responsible.
I have tried to add my MX records, they wont save. I tried to put the @ sign unthe host name in Member Ops and the outcome of the MX records came out messy. I added an A name to my MX record and it is still messed up...I have been with powweb for 2 ys and they cant help and they screwed me up and wont help, can someone help me on setting MX records

I am not an expert in this field, but you need to place the IP of the mail server in MX record. You may ask your mail server some help.

Beleive me I have requested for help even from powweb since they are the once that messed the mail...and they cannot help.
My web domain is wakilisha.com
and this is the Dig output

wakilisha.com, type = MX, class = IN

I use bigmailbox.com for email and I tried to input the email server name "mailrecv.bigmailbox.com".....but as you can see the output is wrong, it includes the domain name at the end of the mail hostname.
It seems to point to the non editable hostname which is the website host.

I really need some help my clients are barking at me.

FYI: You cannot use an IP address in a zone for anything but an A record.

MX and CNAMEs can only post to hostnames.

As for your problem (wakilisha.com), you added this record manually and forgot the trailing "." at the end of the destination host name.

I have fixed this for you and your zone should be updated w/in the hour.
