It is a pretty good website. I love the game of chess! I would suggest experimenting more in tables on how to get a more organized website. You should have all your articles have a title which link to the full article. IE. if they want to read about Einstein they click his title instead of trying to find it. Goodluck!

And everything I need to know, I finally hear.

When I was a baby we would go out to the park,
And sit out in the fountain, splashing 'round until its dark.
The days on forever when you only know that much,
And everything I need to know is answered with one touch.

Talking here's an idea you might try:

use a text box. You now have, on your home page, scroll, scroll, scroll, go back to top: repeat operation. Try using an iFrame, text box, that loads an .html document into the iFrame that enable the visitor to stay on top and scroll the box. You might have several titles, box links, on the right and the box on the left. Your visitors now need not go here and there while traveling far but can see the same from one place. The internet is not long on text, I should say reading is one of the internets short suites, but a text site might have a better chance if the text is interesting to navigate. First generation text sites are not interesting to navigate: even with the best of content.

muijefr - text box suggestion

Thanks for the suggestion. Would you by any chance have an example of a site that uses an iFrame and text box as you suggested? I would be very interested in seeing how this looks.

Talking Well, if it's such a good idea:

why don't I use it. Well, I do think it's a good idea, I did not originate it, and I'm in the process of finishing up my taxes and starting a couple of text box pages. I use an iFrame on my home page for something similar but as used it tends towards displaying images in the text box rather than scrolling text. I'll drop you an email with I have a couple of pages done. The code is right click simple, html.

iframes

Thanks to everyone for their helpful suggestions, I appreciate you taking the time to take a look a my site. muijefr - sorry about being so lazy and asking you to provide me with an example of some sites. I have done some research and concur that iframes are a very good way of presenting a text site, so look for a major change in the look and feel of the toongroup journal. As far as the graphics go, that is without a doubt my weak point and something that I will work on to make the site more interesting.
Thanks again!

Talking As mentioned:

A textbox example:

http://www.the-ebiz.net/autoplay/textbox.html

View source: search iframe and note name=textbox then search textbox for href= and target=textbox

The iFrame defines the object/target and href loads the soruce document(s) into the iFrame area.

I did put up a text box page of my own:
http://www.the-ebiz.net/autoplay/index.html

As it originally looked:
http://www.the-ebiz.net/autoplay/index_prv.html

Your site/home page is almost tailor made to use a text box. Your categories are well defined and organized. You'll probably be able to expose your total home page content/subjects and access on one screen and it will eliminate your continue navigation continuity.

nice looking site...I really like the colour scheme. have a look at adesdesign, net for a good use of an iframe...but I dont think you need it. I think you have a good clear layout that is nice and easy to read...and your page loads nice and fast.
Have you thought of using a bit of css and of adding a "print page" option?
The only thing I would say that its lacking in is a logo or some sort of smallish graphics, just to break up the text a little...
