One possible suggestion

I think it looks great but one thing I'd like as a user is for the content to fill up my screen (less black border). That way the text could be a bit bigger/easier to read...

I like the black border bit - looks OK at 1024x768, although at higher res than that, it might be a bit small, yes.

Overall, I think the design is excellent. Only 1 comment:
You might want to run the front graphic through a jpeg optimizer to see if you can get it any smaller. You know what they say about the "all content loaded in 7 seconds" rule...
Apart from that, perfect. Looks and works identically in Opera 7, Mozilla 1.3 and IE6
