Reminds me of Broodwar. Anyways, the page is perfect except for one thing. Get a cool CSS. I mean the scrollbar is good, but no hover links! Get a cool hover, to white or something. Great pictures, and layout.

Take a look at a gif version of your splash page image. If you decide to use it, it'll reduce the load time for your splash page.

You have some good ideas and concepts. Keep on trying out new things and see what happens. Start working out your own graphics from scratch...along with javascripts and page design. Who knows...you might have a future in this stuff.

Very nice graphic.

I hope you won't mind an improvement suggestion :

1. The writing is very small, too small for me to read. I have a
17" monitor with 1280*1024 resolution.
I know I could increase the size of the fonts, but who would
do that. Most people would rather turn away from the site.

2. There is an eror message that pops up opening every page.
I include a screen capture. My system : XP professional, Internet Explorer 6.0

Keep up your good work
Peter

I have to agree, very nice site but increase the font size slightly. Even at 800x600 it was just a little bit hard for me to read, all in all I'd say you've done a great job

Peter, 1280x1024? On a 17inch monitor? You must have to turn away from a lot of sites, I went to Cnet and Yahoo under this combination and could hardly read the text without moving close to the screen.

It really hurt my eyes. A couple minutes after resetting my 17inch back to 800x600 and my eyes are still a little blurry.

Has there been a poll here in the forum on what resolutions/screen sizes people are using? If not then we should start one, I would be curious to know

Font size and resolution

I work a lot with CAD (Computer aided design). In the office usually 1600*1280 on a 20" screen,
at home 1280*1024 on a 17"

I rarely have problems with other sites but I keep my own sites
so that they can be read at these resolutions :

www.cadelec.com
www.stampsmauritius.com
www.alpareflex.com

As to the poll, yes there was one (I don't remember where exactly) and the vast majority uses 800*600

screen res.

Don't know about the poll... I'm kind of new here but over the past year, both at Powweb and my former host, my stats reflect that 50% to 60% use 800x600, 30% to 40% use 1024x768 and the "others" get about 2% each. I try to make my site look good for the two largest users and don't worry too much about the rest. Since most of my visitors are in my age group, I try to keep the font size sorta large so we don't have to crawl right up on top of the monitor to read it
