My Latest Phpnuke theme:

Im using phpnuke still, but I've been working on designing my own themes. Mostly because I hate borrowing themes cause I hate going to at least 10 other sites that use the same exact theme.

Also I've tried to make my themes NOT look so PHPNukish. Swaying away from that portal look. The theme is for a new site i'm planin on making for my Gaming Idea thing lol. Prolly wont go live for like 6 months but heck, im bored lol. Plus all the stuff i want to incorporate into the site, will take a very long time heh.

I pretty much just started this theme yesterday, and I've been adding more as much as i could. without being oversized.

Anyone with other browsers can test this maybe? i use normal IE, seems to work fine but i think the header *might* have a problem in others. so not sure. I know at any resolution below 800x600 the header links stack up and look funny lol. but i'd like to hope most people use 800x600 now adays heh.

Well, I'll give you style points for understanding PHP looks like cookie cutter design. So your on the right road. One tell tell PHP sign is three column design and the continuation of two columns if there is nothing more to put in the third column and the continuation of column one when there is nothing more to put in column two, or the continuation of columns one and three when there's nothing in column two, etc., and a void of images. Just text, text, text. PHP Nuke was not built in a day and it will not be replaced in a day.

Nah, still looks like PHPNuke to me ;-)

I might come back and check it later, because I'd be interested to see how far away from the badly-done multi-column table-based cookie-cutter layout it's possible to get. I gave up after a week of trying to make Nuke look like anything other than a themed copy of Nuke, and returned to writing my own templated backend...

i've been pretty busy lately so haven't got time to finish it, but it looks fairly done for now, cept a few color configurations with forums and stuff.

Tested in Mozilla 800x600. Its a nice design but I can't help feeling that it looks similar to a lot of other sites out there. Needs a little extra something to make it stand out from the crowd. I presume it's unfinished as I can't see any links down the left hand side. A good start that needs more work. Good luck with it.

I think it looks pretty cool. Just a little fine tuning........maybe some small custom graphics in the table headers would make a unique world of difference and compliment the gray tables.

Hehe the theme u just saw is a new one that i made quickly in like 2-3 hours last night. lol im using that site as a test site for new themes i've been working on lol so themes may vary from when i posted this hehe. thanks tho

Nuke is ALWAYS gonna look like nuke. If you go in and change it so that it looked nothing like nuke, then your skills probably didnt need to use it in the first place.
