Just when you think you've seen everthing along comes hamster hideout. The title " fun & informative site for hamster lovers " says it all. That hooligan Wiffy is a randy little bugger.
Unique. Cool text. Well done. Go Wiffy Go !!. ![]() |

Good site, nice style
Cute and fluffy isn't my kind of thing but it's nice all the same. HEY, did that hamster just flip me off? http://hamsterhideout.com/banner-rotate/forum.gif Last edited by marklar : 6-8-03 at 06:57 AM. |

I did not surf the whole site but what I saw I liked (it is not at all small). There are many object lessons here and good examples of "how to". If I were a hamster owner it would be a must see and favorite. I wanted to spend more time on your home page but never found a convenient link back to it and if your dusty TV is best viewed with wide band you might warn those using dial up. ![]() |

I found the site to be cute, and the graphics were catchy but not garish. Good job.
Here is my constructive feedback: 1) front page is too busy. There is too much emphasis on getting your information "above the fold" A lot of the information could easily be slimmed down, and put in the right bar. The front page should be reserved for your high volume, or new items. How many times do they need to see the free email section? Probably just once, yet it takes up a lot of room on the page. 2) The broad spacing between your columns makes it look very boxy. I suggest widening your middle column a bit, and shortening the right column. (or vice versa) 3) You don't need images for every item on your page. Your page will flow better without as many images, or perhaps smaller one that your text can wrap around. I don't much care for hamsters, but I like your site. good job.

Tested in Mozilla 800x600. This is a great design. I love the menu rollovers. Graphics are a bit slow to download but otherwise a nice site. Good luck with it.
