price and calculations result in 0

hi all,
i'm having problems with my products.
when i add them, it's fine calculating the products price when adding an item.
eg.
Products Price (Gross): 20

however, when i add the product, it's price is 0 when viewed in the catalog.
ie.
Price: 0
Quantity: 1000

i've checked the database and the price shows up as 20.

having the price at 0 also messes up my order total and my shipping for some reason does not add up and is at 0.

help! i know it's something simple i probably overlooked!

I managed to fix this problem.

It happens when you don't have a currency set as default.
