use lockit for CSS file

As I was playing with my newly installed lockit.cgi, having nothing really for "hiding", I was thinking can I put my css files in a folder and lock it, yet still have no effect on my page rednering? It's kind of hiding my css files, but will they still be working for pages in other folders. Of course, I would direct all "link rel=" to this folder for these css files.
