Download after purchase

Can anyone help me with the download option? I have been searching all night and have what I thought set everything up correctly, yet I still cannot get any sort of download link after purchase. I downloaded the download controller contrib from oscommerce.com , but since I have made so many modifications I am leery of trying to use the contrib. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks,
JeffreyD

JeffreyD,
I set up and tested this recently. This is from memory and hopefully, I'm remembering correctly. A couple of things to make sure of:

First set up your product.
Then Assign the attributes. That is where you will tell which file to up-load. You will need to assign both an option and an option value (I used opton=version & option value=download) = This is also where you enter your upload file name.

Upload your file to the download directory. Be sure that it is spelled correctly. If the file is not there, you will see the message to download, but the download button won't show up.

HTH
