Jolt Cola

Does anyone still drink Jolt? It used to be in our market area, although I've seen it elsewhere. That stuff was good for clerks working the grave shift in a c-store since it kept them awake!

Jolt was the greatest beverage known to man when I was in high school. We had a gas station in town that had it, and we couldn't find it anywhere else in the area. To this day, I haven't seen it anywhere else for sale.

And sit out in the fountain, splashing 'round until its dark.
The days on forever when you only know that much,
And everything I need to know is answered with one touch.

It's still around. I intermittently see it in places around here. I think they have some new flavors, too, if my memory isn't betraying me.

Yea, Jolt was some great stuff.

I have only seen it very rarely too. I can't recall it being sold anywhere around here in IL but I know I have seen it when visiting relatives in Ohio.

My favorite pop is Wild Cherry Pepsi, although Mountain Dew (and Mountain Dew Code Red) is great stuff too

I think they want to have 2 cans of Jolt, then come back and view the website! If someone poured some of that stuff in the PW servers, woo hoo!

PW servers work best on Mountain Dew.

See my post in pre-sale sub-forum galexia.

I think that Jolt has become less mainstream as a result of the more recent 'caffeine is bad' kick that many people are subscribing to.

i was thinking about this the other day, when they were talking about jolt on i love the 80's strikes back...

that whole jolt thing giving you a boost or whatever is balogna. they always say that jolt has twice the caffiene as one regular cola...if that's the case, then you should get this huge kick from drinking two colas, but does anyone get a buzz or anything close to it from two colas? for most people to feel anything at all- they'd have to pump caffeine straight into their veins!

1) It's the case, and 2) "straight into their veins"... humm, now why didn't I think of that

From The Jolt Cola Page:

http://www.geocities.com/SiliconVall.../joltcola.html

From the STET Magazine page:

http://www.geocities.com/SiliconVall.../joltcola.html

Looks like Jolt is clearly the winner in the "I've got more caffine than you do" race.

Me? I'll keep my Squirt. It is such a refreshing drink all by itself, and has no caffine, which I believe should only come from a good fresh roasted Colmubo Dark (well until you came up with that "straight into their veins" concept... um, nevermind).

Also Squirt is the only bubbly that I can think of that compliments Vodka or Bourbon equally well (an no, 7-up is not even a close second)

i like that sprite remix stuff. people have told me it tastes like cheap, fruity wine, but i dont drink, so i wouldnt know either way.

and about putting that stuff right into your veins...i wonder if thats possible. i can see the young ones now, popping the needle in their arm to get there caffeine fix. selling it on the street corners! i shiver at the very thought of a world gone mad like that!
