Firstly, I loathe sites that pop up a window for the main content, so not a good start there.

Second, why do you recommend 1024x768 when the window that you popup is so tiny?

Apart from those issues, your overall design is nice

well personally i got lost, i hit english and some little window comes up , i cant read anything in this window,so i hit a couple buttons and its in some other languge then english so i left. i have no idea what the site is about are you buying?selling? home page? i have no idea and i dont think many others will eith.fonts are very hard to read ,colors jar me,the whole concept annoys me. but then im a old cranky old man so dont let it bother you have a great day

Agree with the above.

No need for a popup...but if you want it...keep it.
Menu was very hard to read.
Some french words in the english section.
I'm not going to download anything to see your flash presentations.
Seems very hard to navigate.

You do have good content and presentations...you just need a better way of showing it off.

Yeah I understand that it's not everyone that enjoy those popups, but I am working on a version 2, correcting the way I present my portfolio, thanks for the feedback.

I'd rather have those kind of feedback, I will correct all of those issues in my version 2 and let you see the results, I would like to hear another feedback from you guys then!

I thought overall it's a nice site considering that the site is to showcase you and your work. I wouldn't change to many things. I like the idea that you have to think your way thru when navigating the site. It makes one pay close attention to everything...which is something I think you would want people to do. It also makes the site more memorable. If it were an ordinary, straight forward, easy to navigate site...I'd forget about it 5 minutes after I left.

The only things I would change are:
- Lose the Main page popup.
- Showcase your Flash swf files on their own page. Not as a standalone swf.
- - This will allow you to set the size of the displayed swf.
- - Change your "download here" flash links to "View here" links.
- - Post how big the swf files are.
- - Maybe have a small intro for your flash files to keep people busy or something that indicates that the page is loading.

I agree with the other comments. Some people may not ever see the popup window at all! The intro page is on the left and does not fill the page at a higher resolution. Sites that tell visitors what browser or screen resolution is preferred can turn away visitors not using those mentioned.

The navigation is annoying as you have to click to each item and click Back to go back. Why use a tiny window when you can fill a screen with larger or more contents? You may want to include a description on mouseover for the link icons. While graphics designers think this looks neat, many visitors are unsure how to navigate your site.

Don't forget to change your Hotmail account to your domain name email in your contact page. Hotmail does not accept much email.

Please include the meta tag to turn off the image toolbar in IE.

The graphics are really nice, but the web design must be more user friendly. But I love sites with original contents, especially graphics!

If you are going to have the 2 menus located as you have them now, take enough pixels off the top margin so that the bottom menu displays when viewed at 800x600. Users that are set at 800x600 may not notice that bottom menu unless they happen to scroll down.

Why make the statement that your sites minimum browser requirement is IE? Some users will see this as you saying "My site only works if you are running Internet Exploder". Many users (myself included) no longer use IE as their main browser, and the numbers are growing daily.

Your link color is a little bit hard to read on that bright green background, maybe more of a bright white would stand out just a little better.

Constricting the contents of a site to a small frame in the middle of the browser page always struck me as odd, distracting and very low on the usability scale.

I understand that that's the way they teach it in the design schools now - - and that's why so many people are doing it (or copying it from people who learned it in design school), but it is not good web design.

It's actually more challenging (and a better demonstration of your skills) to build a site that adapts to many different environments, rather than forcing your viewer into your environment. IMO, anyway.

I too don't use IE (but Firefox instead). When I see a site which says something like the minimum requirement is IE, I read that as "I don't wan't to / Won't take the time to ensure that my site is cross-browser compatible so too bad if you don't use IE." At that point I usually leave the site and don't return.

I agree with all the comments posted. If the color doesn't turn me away, the "best viewed" remark usually does. Though I viewed in IE, I don't like to be told what browser or screen resolution to use.

Please use percentages for table widths. Though images should remain fixed in size, the page could be filled with color and/or text to fill the screen. I am also not a fan of intro pages. Search engines usually give higher ranking to the pages with the most text contents. Many people may never see the intro page (which should benefit you).

The home page should include the navigation links to other pages in your website, so visitors can access information faster. The font size could be bigger, too. The information is well planned, but the web design itself is what needs improvement. That is a common problem for graphics designers. Nice try.

I will definitely take in consideration everything you guys told me, as I begin to understand the importance of presenting a page that fits with the most people (resolutions, etc).

I will make my change and post back again when it's done to let you know, and thanks again, I REALLY appreciated.
