you opinion to my web-site

I'm totally new as I started my own web-site project, afterwards I really like my hobby. My basic idea is to provider some services which can benefite everyone and so I can add more those kind of services in the future. The key for me is, how can I maximize the user attracation, so you may give me some tips in terms of usibilty.

well i gotta say i like the layout, colors and ease of use, but it took me a while to figure out what your site was about. from what i gather it is a site for people to connect, buy/sell items and/or services right?

it looks like it may have some huge potential, but why would i or anyone else use this rather than say.. ebay or some professional freelance site to post/look for services?

You have got the key point. Thanks for your feedback. A friend told me, he is looking for an internet buying and selling service between eBay and Kragslist, he said in eBay you need bid against other peoples and some of auction run very long. Cragslist otherside very easy to use, but is to simple, you are missing some 'basic' functionalities. So this was my motivation to build up a Market Place service. I haven't figured out yet, how can I get user attention to my site and service...

I agree with oatesj77 and have actually talked other people out of creating auction sites. You really need to be able to advertise the site to have enough products listed and enough visitors to bid against products. If you only have 30 items and only 100 visitors, how many visitors will bid on each item? Or any item? But we will just say that you may have planned this part and expect to have enough items listed and visitors bidding.

As a visitor, your home page gives little information. I wouldn't know what to expect or where to look. I don't like to login to look for things, but I will when I am ready to make a purchase. Many people feel the same way and search engines cannot login, so any pages that require login cannot be indexed by search engines. And search engines help bring in more visitors.

The color scheme is pleasing, though it reminds me of MSN! I just managed to find my way to the Online Shopping Center which is nothing more that a list of categories to affiliate links. There are several free clip art icons used here. I really couldn't find any unique contents on this site.

I would like to know the site purpose upon entering the website. I would like to see unique contents - information that would make me want to visit AND revisit the website. I would like to get a product, service or information that I may not get elsewhere. I want to see the site load quickly and be easy to navigate.

I finally realized that you are trying to create your own version of MyPoints.com which comes to everyone's email in newsletters. Will you be sending newsletters to compete with them?

Connect in real time: communicate with the buyer/seller instantly over IM, commission-free transactions, no cost to buyer or seller.
Clean, standardized interface, we make it easy for you to Post item and to upload pictures and specify details.

This is quoted from http://www.xuuxii.com/news.htm and Advantage is spelled incorrectly. The fact that you do not charge the buyer or seller should attract people and be boldly stated on the home page! This will get people to visit and revisit the website.

Your domain name may be tricky for people. And it is at the end of the alphabet, so it will be at the end of lists that are alphabetized such as directories. Your contact page only contains a form, so you can get info from visitors, but it does not contain your contact info. Not good if you want to be listed in DMOZ.org.

Interesting venture. Please consider playing up the commission-free transactions, no cost to buyer or seller. That is the major selling point of this website. The affiliate links could appear on other pages and be rotating banners to be visible to people who don't visit your category pages. I know that I wouldn't visit pages that contain nothing but ads.

Good luck!

It's amazing to read your reply, Yvette Kuhns. Thanks for spending time to lookup my page and share me your opinion. I think you have got points I always struggle with me in whole time during my web-design phase, I always have little problem to be focused on an unique content... I will take your opinion and think about focus. Thanks again.

Thanks for taking my post as constructive advice. It is not easy to stay focused or even be objective when working on your own website. But if you look at the site and pretend you are a visitor of someone else's website, what would you hope or expect to see?

Slowly visit each page and take note of what you see/don't see, like/don't like, expect/don't expect and anything else. Visit sites like yours and it will help you see what you may be missing or what they may be missing. Then do something different or special to make your site stand out and hopefully better than the others.

You may want to add interactive contents. Free games, news, articles and more are all over the Internet, but if you add unique contents, that is better. Forums, guestbooks, allowing people to rate the businesses you advertise and post to your site, allowing people to post pictures or anything that helps you add unique contents and also interest visitors in revisiting your site is nice. Be creative and original.

Perhaps you can create a contest and let visitors vote or simply randomly generate a winner. You can vote on photo contests or have games with prizes for high scores. In YOUR case, perhaps you can have feature articles on members and give a virtual prize (Internet graphics image award) for someone who earned a specified number of points.

You are only limited by your imagination... and the law.
