you need to rethink the color scheme a little bit. black on black isn't a good thing. i personally don't like using phpnuke or phpbb (unless thats all i'm using it for is a bbs) it dosn't give you much control over your site. it looks good though besides the black on black.

Hey thanks man. This is my first BB so its a learning experience. I was looking at some of the themes and I might have it so users can switch the skins to what they want. I’m not sure yet if I want to go through with that.

I agree that there is too much black. The font size is small, but it helps to fit alot of text on one web page. I am unable to adjust the font size in the browser, because the font size is specified as a fixed size in pixels. The site looks good in varying screen resolutions.

I am also not a big fan of phpbb or phpnuke, but for newbies, it is a good start. It looks very nice. The idea of having a choice of skins sounds good in theory, but remember that this will slow the download time. So don't go overboard. You probably only have one language - English - but if you add languages, this will also slow download time.

I just noticed that your FAQ link under the header graphic does not link to the FAQ page like the other FAQ text link in the box on the left. Did you deliberately make the gallery link open in a new window, so visitors can comment on photos in the forum?

Nice job so far.

I have 2 albums that I am trying out. The one you see there is my first gallery that I installed. Here is the second one gallery2
I made it open in a new window because the first gallery does not give me a link section. I could add it but you also have to register on that gallery also.
I will look into the darkness problem. Do you think if I made the text lighter that would help.
I didn't know about the faq section I will look into that also.
Thanks for the replies. That’s what is great about this site you get info that you wouldn't normally have

So what BB would you guys use?

When your gray text turns white upon mouseover, I can read it better. Maybe the text should be white, then change to another color when hovered.
