any comments are welcome

Hello all,

I was hoping to get some feedback on my new site design. There are still some bugs I am working out, but any input would be gladly accepted.

www.sk131.com

Thank You in advance,

Cory

Your contents do not fill the screen at a higher screen resolution. You mentioned on your site that is to conserve bandwidth. But you can conserve bandwidth and still fill the screen. The site doesn't have much information, but serves as a portfolio for graphics design. You may want to focus on that since that seems to be your strongest skill.

Your resume should have a white background and black text or the option to convert to black and white for printing. You should list your job experience in the opposite order, from most recent on back. Each job description should mention three major accomplishments and try not to use past tense. It is not necessary to say references available upon request.

Your skills should actually tell specific skills related to the job to which you are applying. If you wish to be a web designer, list the programming languages or programs you know such as HTML, PHP, Perl programming and Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia Flash software.

The website itself appears to have been created with an editor instead of hand coded. It is very full of graphics and not search engine friendly. But it looks nice. Remember that search engines read text and not graphics or multimedia. Though Google does not read META tags, other search engines do so you may want to work on them. All search engines read TITLE tags, so customize them to use appropriate keywords for each page.

You should include the META line to remove the image toolbar in IE.

<meta http-equiv="imagetoolbar" content="no">

The graphics are nice. Display each logo in the center of the screen for best viewing. The neutral background and color scheme does not compete, but rather complements the portfolio images.

The copyright info should appear at the bottom of each web page. I don't think the image of you at the computer needs to appear on each page. Each page needs more text to provide info to both visitors and search engines. Still a nice portfolio for your graphic designs. Nice job!

I loved the look. Very unique.

Filling the screen doesnt bother me as much as a site that has its content too spaced out to try to fill the screen.

In my opinion, your sites are professional and show great energy. Keep up the good work.
