I have seen many of your competitor's websites, so I had expectations. Some are heavy with Flash but may not get the best search engine ranking while simpler sites do. Your site took some time to load even for my high speed connection and fast processor. The Java applet takes even longer and not everyone has/uses the Java plugin.
The website is too dark with a black background and green text which was popular in the 1990s. The grey text almost blends into the background which makes it difficult to read. The site is a bit overwhelming with so many pictures and links. Maybe you could have a list of types of signs and click or mouseover to see the corresponding image. The visitor would not have to wait for each image to load, just what he/she is trying to view. Another idea would be a rotating image gallery that can be paused or chosen by the viewer. To reduce load time, include an image preloader and use an external style sheet called with one line of code. I have an external Javascript menu that was 4 K saved for over 200 pages for a total savings of more than 800 K. The Javascript link for the phone number did not work for me. The website design felt out of date and not very business-like. But I admit that I saw the competitor websites since they always try to sell me stuff. View them yourself and decide what you would like to see in your own website. |

Tested in Mozilla 800x600 56k modem without Java or Flash installed (I'm short of bandwidth). I don't really appreciate the popup telling me to install Java - the site seems to work OK without (as it should). Loads reasonably fast. Too wide for 800x600. Menus work fine. Page is a bit busy. Otherwise, a good solid design. Good luck with it.

I've just one thing to add.
A site that is trying to promote something "Revolutionary" and then using green on black as a color scheme, just does not add up to me. Green on Black is something from the past and a reminder of headaches and eye strain, not something for a "new" and "revolutionary" product or service. |

JJ, you and I are so old that we think the black and green design looks old. Maybe it just came back in style like the 70s clothes!

As far as I'm concerned, there's a darn good reason that they and mono monitors went out of style. |
