Product Attributes

Hello,

This is for product attributes in the Admin page. Every time I add a product attribute of product option or option values, it seems not to be in order. Are they alphabetically or numerial order ? And also, how can I make the first selection to be "Optional" rather than to be the first option ?

thanks,
jan

Alphabetic order or numerial order for product attributes?

Jade,

I do know how to add product attributes but I don't know how to make them in order -- sometimes they are in order with numerical or alphabetic ?

If you don't do anything, the attributes are in the order they appear in the database, which means little. There is an "Attribute Sort Order" contribution I pointed Jan to that solves this.

It's possible for you to see the database, yes. I'm uncertain if there is anything you can change that way that would affect the sort order and am hesitant to recommend this approach. The sort order contribution is nice and also adds a convenient way to add attributes right from the product info page - otherwise, it's a royal pain in the posterior.
