anybody know how to "cgi" in flash?

I have been workin on cgi scripts in flash for the past week or so and i cant find any way to make a formmail.cgi to work. I have used many different scripts so i know its not the scripts......the only thing i can come up with is that my actionscripting on the buttons arent right OR there is something wrong with the servers. BTW.....i have changed all of the CHMOD settings via ftp so thats not the problem. Please help me if you can. Thanks

Flash's LoadVariablesNum function is one way to do what you want, I think.

Here's a FlashKit tutorial that shows how to send mail from Flash using either Perl, PhP, or ASP. This tute uses the author's own mailing program, but you could probably adapt the technique to use FormMail.

I use the PhP option (with some security changes), and it works fine for me.

Hmm

Sorry....I just re-read your email.

Send me your flash file. I will fix it for you.

Just make sure that you have the path to perl correct on your script and make sure that the REFERRING URL is correct.

FormMail is easy to use. Send me your Flash file and I will fix it.

peace
Scott
