MySQL Backups?

Hey... I've recently needed to use the backups supplied by Powweb... but when I go to download the dump, they're all 0.3k in size and contain basically no data... is there a point to this?

Need help ASAP. Thanks.

Adam

I would email support@powweb.com and ask this question.

I am experiencing the exact same problem. I've had a support ticket open for a couple of days, with no response.

Now would be a REALLY bad time for a database corruption or problem, as I have no backups of over 10MB of data for the past week or so (I've been seeing .3 KB backups for a week -- ever since about the latest upgrade, I think).

Looks like the backups were failing from Jan. 14th-18th.

The one from January 19th was fine for me.

Always take your own backups:

You can't have too many. And never rely on your host to do your backups for you.

Yes, B&T, I used to run phpBB's backup facility every night, but after my database got over about 4 MB, I could no longer run it, as it would time out. Kinda pathetic, IMHO, but that's when I had to start depending on PowWeb's backups. But if your script works, I'll use that, thanks!
