Text shifts

When i add a layer of text to an image in dreamweaver and preview it in a browser the text is shifted over somewhere else than where it was in the dreamweaver editing screen. If i changed by resolution to 800 X 600 it shifts somewhere else? Is there anyway i can lock the layers to tables or something to get it to stop shifting! Thanks a lot.

place your layer inside a table, or set the layer x and y position from the left and top (will probably still have problems on window resize). when the layer is nested inside a table it will move with the table on resizes.

a rule of thumb... layers are quirky.. use them only if you have to...
