Non-downloadable files

I use IPB, and I installed a jukebox mod that lets you listen to music, I have my MP3 files in a dir located in my forum dir. The mod uses WMP plugin to play the files. Now my question, is there a way that I can allow the public to listen to the songs using the mod, but NOT be able to download them to their computer?

The short answer is no.

For what it's worth, even enabling the listening to copyrighted songs is not allowed unless you have a license from the copyright holder. Additionally, I believe that Powweb's TOS does not even allow the files to be stored on the server.

I deleted the files and such, but I think that it is sad that the world has come to this. People cannot even enjoy the music they love.

Sure you can. You can enjoy music you have a legal copy of. You just can't make it available to others unless you have secured "public performance rights" to the music.

Additionally, PowWeb doesn't want you to host music files on their servers at all, for a variety of reasons.
