Norton Internet Security

Whenever my security program blocks a computer from connecting to my computer remotely it gives me a number like this one (66.161.183.37) for example as the culprit. Is there anyway to findout if this is in fact a computer or site that I had one time allowed or what. I'm not sure if this is the right way to phrase this but is it possible to do a 'Whois' on this address and if so how do I do that. I just want to make sure I'm not losing valuable updates or something like that.

Thanks...

If anyone's interested, after finding that the log processing program I used (WebTrends) was missing quite a few IP block owners, I wrote a little command-line 'whois' that will take an ASCII file of IP addresses and retrieve the block owner information from ARIN, RIPE or APNIC as appropriate.

You can downloade it from http://www.saucier-pages.com/whois_b.zip

Download, unzip and run for instructions.

Please, no comments on my site...it's uglier than sin and was originally created to host some template files for Poser.

If you find the utility helpful, shoot me a note.
