Clean up of visited URL in IE

How can I remove some URLs from the list of have-been-entered-once URLs in Internet Explorer?

In fact, I am using Broadpage as browser. Broadpage uses the IE engine and offers auto-completion of URLs by default (I like this behavior, no <tab>).

Unfortunately, I sometime pressed enter too early and end up with auto-completion giving me URLs entered incorrectly (because I presse the wrong keys), like google, com (note: a comma, not a dot), etc., etc. Typing 'fo' used to auto-complete to forum.powweb.com but I once pressed <Enter> to early with an incorrect string... so it does not work anymore (I have to type more of it).

I would like to clean this list but dont know where to look exactly.

Any ideas?

François

hmm..

What you are talking about is your 'history'. I went into help in IE and found a couple things, first off:

The AutoComplete feature saves previous entries you've made for Web addresses, forms, and passwords. To delete entries from the Address bar, you must clear your History folder. You cannot clear individual entries from the list of saved entries

Ok.. bummer. Means you have to wipe out your complete history or leave it intact. So.. looked a bit further.. and hopefully this will help:

You can configure AutoComplete to save and suggest only the information you want. You can choose whether to use AutoComplete for Web addresses, forms, and passwords, or not use it all. You can also clear the history for any of these.
1. In Internet Explorer, on the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
2. Click the Content tab.
3. Under Personal information, click AutoComplete.
4. Select the check boxes for the AutoComplete options you want to use.

Should probably be similar if your browser is based on IE.

hth,
Laurey

Thanx!

Thank you Laurey!

I will have to clear my 'history' since the 'Internet Options' of Broadpage are the ones of IE.
