How / Where Do I Find My "Server Logs?"

Hi all,

I am trying to determine where my Wordpress blog is getting its traffic from. Folks on another forum are saying... 'go check your server logs'.

Well, if I knew HOW / WHERE to even 'find' my Server Logs i might just be able to do that. But being a relative newcomer to this business, I am still "lost" in all the geek-speak.

I would be ever so grateful if one of you folk could explain how / where etc... i find my so-called Server Log/s. I checked out my Ops Panel for clues but could only find CGI Error Logs.

NB: Incidentally, my Error Log was saying that I need to install the latest version of Zend Optimizer. Do any of you guys even KNOW what Zend Optimizer is? Or where I can find it? And / or where I download it / upload it / install it to???

for my blog site, i will use awstat or webstat to know the traffic.
these stat is not 'server log' in precise.

I guess that Google Analytics would also be an option for basic stats that would provide me with useful traffic data. Or are there much better alternatives?
