Tried to run a spellcheck.js file yesterday and BANG, Dreamweaver starts up. An install of Dreamweaver blew away the js file association-- a js file is now associated with Dreamweaver.
VBS and VBE still show the association with the MS Scripting Host, but when I try to re-associate a js file in Explorer, I can't find the MS Scripting Host as an option. Anyone know how to find the MSSH? Thanks, (BTW, running XP) Gene |

Finally found the answer, if anyone else cares:
When viewing File Types in Folder Options, select the file type, click Change, Browse, Windows, System32, Wscript.exe. If you're interested in Spellcheck.js , goto http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,4149,428392,00.asp It's a neat little file that invokes Word's Spell Checker when you're in Newsgroups or message boards. Just select the text you want to Spell Check and run the file. I did as the author suggested and placed a shortcut to the file on the Links bar of IE. Gene (PS, it just changed shorcut to shortcut for me) |
