Publishing & Uploading

Ok My temp site ie up http://toked420com.powweb.com/
now I need to know how to publish it or upload it I am useing
WS_FTP Pro I have a page and want to load it ..

I did this host lunar.powweb.com

user name = my name
pw = my pw

then I loaded it or transfered it its seem to go thur but when i
tpyed http://toked420com.powweb.com/

and nothing happened

I know I am problly doing somthing wrong just dont know what please Help CuBe <----------- NewBie

Did you upload the files into your htdocs folder?
If not try uploading them into it

or

Do you even have a htdocs folder (it can take up to 6 hours for new accounts to be setup depending on queue time).

No I Didnt load them into htdocs folder ..

I would think I have one I apllied friday morning for my site n
domain ..

How would I go about locateing my htdocs folder ?

In WS_FTP... when you actually connect to your site... you will see a list of folders on the right hand side of the screen. Those are the files in your website.

Any page you want to actually show on the web needs to be in the htdocs folder there. So double click on the htdocs folder on the right hand side to open that folder. That means you will now be uploading your files into it.

Then find the files you want to upload on the left hand side and either click the right arrow or drag them over to the right panel side.

ANd witch is easyer frontpage or ftp ?

try this:

When you open up WS_FTP, you should see a screen with:

PROFILE NAME: yourdomain.com
HOST: lunar.powweb.com
HOST TYPE: You can leave this alone, it's automatically detected
USERID: Your Username
PASSWORD: Your Password

Then when you press "OK" you should see two screens: LOCAL BROWSER and your SITE.

Your site should have the "htdocs" folder where you upload your files. To upload your files, just drag and drop from LOCAL BROWSER to YOUR SITE (labeled REMOTE SITE).
