Cool

When you XP you become immediately a guru:

Start > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore

Withing 2 minutes you become a guru and you solve your problem!!

Good Luck

Cool

yangster...

Are you able to start the computer and hit F8? This takes you to some menu options, like booting up in safe mode, dos prompt, etc.

Thankfully.. they put that option BACK into XP for those who may need to do a little repair work from dos.. or from the cd rom.

Yangster unfortunatly I had the same problem and i tried everything to get back into XP nothing worked it seems to be a unrecoverable error. The only option is to reinstall or you can try a program called CPR for windows XP it may work http://www.myezfix.com/cpr.html there is the link.

What I do now is have a duel boot system XP and ME that way if i lose XP I can atleast recover my data from the Xp drive. the error only happened to me once so i have my fingers crossed!

hope this helps
Good Luck
